BACKGROUND
Inkaba Creative Art House is a registered non-profit organization founded by Busisiwe Mazibuko on 9 May 2016. The organization was established to support performing artists from disadvantaged communities and help them advance meaningfully within the creative industries. Inkaba also champions the empowerment of women in the arts, encouraging them to step confidently into leadership roles as writers, directors, and producers. The founder leads by example, writing and directing many of the organization’s original works.

Inkaba envisions a future where creative expression becomes a vehicle for economic empowerment. The organization aims to be a national hub of limitless creativity that reaches artists in both urban and rural spaces. Through accessible platforms, Inkaba strives to dismantle economic barriers in the arts by fostering self-belief and opportunity. Its core purpose is to instill a sense of agency in creatives and to contribute toward meaningful transformation within the broader arts ecosystem.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Inkaba Creative Art House is to develop and expose emerging artists to practical industry experiences. This includes facilitating access to platforms such as the Mzansi Fela Festival and creating opportunities for collaboration through productions like the Siyazikhakhazisa Theatre Festival. In addition to theatre and film, the organization is committed to making a social impact through campaigns and educational programming. These initiatives address pressing issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, teenage pregnancy, and gender-based violence. By conducting workshops and hosting community-focused events, Inkaba helps individuals build both artistic and life skills to support their professional and personal growth.
